Ester & Andreas

.

“Ester and Andreas presents a string of incredibly mundane stories through cool jazz that causes every word and every note to go straight to the heart. Charming from start to finish.”

Andreas Backer and Ester Årman write lyrics and compose music together. Their first songs were created 2008 during their time studying at The Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden. April 2010 they released their first CD called “Vardag” (Weekday), which recieved great reviews in the press (see “Reviews”).

Backer beeing Norwegian/Swedish and Årman Swedish, they write lyrics mostly in Swedish, but partly also in Norwegian. However, their main focus is to tell storys in their own way – a way that is just Ester & Andreas!

The music is influenced by the composers/musicians background from jazz, pop, classical and Nordic folk music.

All involved musicians and composers are highly educated from music university colleges in Sweden and Norway.
